How well do you take direction?
The best actors are those who can take direction and totally change their performance based on the advice. What if you misread your character? Instead of being sweet and kind your character is tired and frustrated, could you totally change your character’s demeanor while saying your lines in front of the camera on set?
Directors love working with actors who are moldable. Being able to take direction and use it wisely can take your acting from okay to Oscar material.
Often us actors can correctly interrupt the character however every now and then we totally misread a line. Practice saying your lines two totally different ways. Maybe say your line very genuinely and then say your line completely sarcastically. By practicing your lines with different attitudes this can help you with being able to change your performance upon request.
How transformable are you?
