Have you submitted a video audition recently? Want to capture the best image of you possible?
A couple of tips for your next submission:
1) Look your best! The truth isn’t always pretty but to be in movies you have to be good looking. Which means, angle your camera to feature your best look. If your camera is tilted off it will add weight to your body and distort your face.
2) Make sure you have good audio. When the casting director is listening to your audition you want them to be able to hear what you are saying.
3) Do not audition with your reader in the video. Only you should be seen in the audition video. It’s confusing to a casting director if there is more than one person in a video.
4) Do not look to far off camera. The eyes are really important!!
5) Do not over dramatize your lines.
6) Be sincere. Stop trying to act.
7) Don’t be nervous! Breathe. Take your time. Deliver your lines in a natural tone.
All the best on your next audition!
